Progress Report:

  • The first Communication Team meeting was
held Thursday, April 7 and the team discussed the various methods of
communication currently being used in conjunction with the survey
    information. The methods discussed were:

    • The Bulletin
    • The SonTimes
    • The WebSite
    • Mass Media
    • Social Media
  • New methods discussed were:
    • Shiloh Guidebook: Lead- Denise Augestine The Guidebook would
contain information that would be of particular interest to visitors,
new members, including church maps, contact information, ministry areas,
      etc.
    • Video: This was a function previously completed by Julie Zdenek
that was used very effectively. We would like to recruit people that
      have giftedness in video editing.
    • Bulletin board: We would like to make better use of the
Gathering Area by proving a central location with info, perhaps a
bulletin board. This will require more discussion with the Hospitality
      TMP and Trustees.
  • The second Communication Team meeting was
held Monday April 18. The meeting was primarily dedicated to the
organization of the webpage. It was decided that the website would be
rolled out in two phases. Phase 1 is being set up for GPS organizational
purposes . We are collecting information from each of the 4 TMP’s and
organizing all the ministries of the church under one of the TMP’s. Phase
2 will involve replacing our current website with a modification of the
Phase 1 website.  A sub-committee has been established that includes Wally
Kassebaum as the team lead, John Coats, Terry Callahan, and CJ Dulaney.
The website team will work on the site design and present to the
    Communication team on May 2.
